Item: CD Kenny Corkscrew Sugars, Teas, Coffee Premium
This wooden handled twisted wire cork screw dates from around 1910 and was a free premium, given away to customers by the C. D. Kenny Company, a Baltimore, MD. grocer. The corkscrew has a built in depth gauge on the shaft to prevent it from being turned in too far and a unusual feature attached to one end of the handle: a metal tab wire cap lifter for bottles with the wired on metal caps that were popular for a short while in the early 20th century. Inscribed on the handle is C. D. Kenny Co. Sugars, Teas, Coffees. The corkscrew measures 4 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide and is in excellent condition with wear and staining on the handle and minor surface rust. Came out of my personal collection. 3735-71ET
