Item: Carter Idelible Ink Bottle and Triangular Box
Colorful circa 1890- 1910 triangular box that held Carter's Sphinx Indelible Ink, manufactured by Carter, Dinsmore & Co. in Boston. It is decorated in orange, black, and red with an image of the Sphinx on the front. Inside is a tiny octagonal bottle, now empty, with its original label and a round wooden treen ware disc with a wooden ring for flattening out the cloth surface so that it could be marked. The label on the front of the box states Requires no preparation, any pen can be used. It is in excellent condition with great color and graphics and some wear on the edges and corners 10916-9041
