Item: Simonds Saw Hardware Store Wood Grained Tin Sign
This rare one sided tin sign dates from the late nineteenth century and would have hung at a hardware store. It has a faux wood grain surface with an image of a crosscut saw and is inscribed The Simonds Crescent Ground Cross Cut Saw. In two corners of the sign are images of the gold medals that the design won at the Paris Expo and the Columbian Expo. The sign measures eighteen inches tall by thirty-four inches wide and is in excellent condition with areas of surface rust on the edges and a couple of light scratches. 15263-51WRPP
