Item: Salt and Pepper Shakers Giveaway Texaco Gas Pump
This was a giveaway promotional item for Texaco and many other brands during the 1950's. The Texaco station would get their name on the back with the address and phone number. This pair of plastic salt and pepper shakers, shaped like little gas pumps, dates from the 1950's and was a free premium given away by the local Texaco station. The salt is a red Fire Chief pump and the pepper is a silver Sky Chief pump, on the back of which is inscribed Chet's Texaco Service 815 Church Street Stevens Point, Wisc. The shakers measure about two and three quarters inches tall by one inch wide and are in excellent condition some crazing on the transfer logos. These were very popular several years ago and most have gone into collections. 14720-41WT
